What does a locksmith in Amsterdam cost?
With me, a standard emergency opening starts at €89 during the day, €119 in the evening and €149 at night. If drilling or a new cylinder is needed, I always discuss the total price with you beforehand.
Can my door be opened without damage?
With a door that has slammed shut, damage-free opening usually works. With a faulty lock, a broken key or a door on the deadbolt, the cylinder may need to be replaced. You will always hear this first.
How quickly can you be there?
I aim to be on site within 30 minutes. Call or WhatsApp and you'll hear straight away whether I can come and the arrival time for your address.
Can I reach you on WhatsApp too?
Yes. You can call or send a WhatsApp message. Feel free to include a photo of your lock so I can assess more quickly what is needed and what the price will be.
Do you also replace cylinders and locks?
Yes. I replace cylinders and locks after lost keys, a move, wear or burglary damage. I work with reliable brands such as ABUS, Nemef and Mul-T-Lock.
Do you also do burglary prevention?
Yes. I advise on SKG-certified cylinders, anti-cylinder-pulling hardware and better protection for your doors, tailored to your home and budget.
Will I know the cost in advance?
Yes. Before I set off we discuss the rate for the time slot and any extra costs, such as a new cylinder.
What if you can't get the door open? Do I still pay?
No. In the unlikely event that I can't get you back inside, you pay nothing — no call-out charge and no labour costs. You only pay once the problem is solved. With a door that has slammed shut the chance of success is very high; if anything more is unexpectedly needed, I always discuss that with you first.
