Being locked out is stressful, especially with a child or pet inside, or when you're on your way to work. Stay calm: in most cases a door that has slammed shut can be opened without any damage. Call or send a WhatsApp message and I'll come to you as quickly as possible, often faster than a service van can reach you.
I assess the situation on the spot and explain what I'm going to do before I start. You always know the price beforehand, so you never face surprises.
ID is part of the job
A reliable locksmith does not open doors without knowing for whom. That's why I always ask you to identify yourself or otherwise show that you are entitled to access the home, for example with a rental contract or post in your name. That isn't mistrust, but care — in your interest too.

How quickly can you be there if I'm locked out?
I schedule emergency calls right away. I aim to be on site within 30 minutes; at the first contact you'll hear a concrete arrival time for your location.
Does damage-free opening cost extra?
No, on the contrary. Damage-free opening is the standard approach for a door that has slammed shut and is simply covered by the emergency-opening rate. Only if drilling and a new cylinder are needed do material costs apply — after your approval.
I rent my home. Can you still open it?
Yes, provided you can show that you live there, for example with ID and a rental contract or post in your name. If in doubt, I check with the landlord or property manager.
My key is on the inside of the lock. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Even with a key on the inside there are techniques to open the door neatly. Just mention it when you call so I can take it into account.
What if the door slams shut at night?
Then you can call me too. The night rate of €149 and up applies, which I confirm with you in advance. I only come out for genuine emergencies — that's only fair.
